Ahhh, here's the bueaty of Guild Wars.
So, your bored. As has been mentioned, play another game for a bit. Your not paying a monthly. No need to keep playing to keep up with the hardcores or play just because you pay.
Remeber, there's an expansion coming out in a few months. Play something else until it comes out. Then you get Guild Wars fun again. Then if you get bored after beating the expansion, rinse and repeat.

I don't think they should raise the level cap, i think 20 is fine.. but however i would like to see them continue to add new side quests, that always gets me to log on
if you want total level domination play diablo 2, you can make people feel worthless when your level 99 kills their level 35..
also just as posted above you are not paying so your not forced to live your life as a hermit, if you get bored of guild wars go out side, the sun isnt there for looks you know

Guild powder and I agree.
If you work harder on the game you should have something to show for it.
Kids can just pick this game up and be lvl 20 like everyone else, with no work.
Its not fair. The lvl cap should be like 60. The game can still be about balance, I mean, even now its really not. You dont see many teams with all lvl 20's and a lvl 16.
So what would the difference be if it were all lvl 60's? This isnt a real MMO if you cant have a dominance factor.
People that enjoy the game for what it is, have fun, you'll get bored soon. Once you play it A LOT, you'll get bored.
It has nothing to do with being a slave to the game. People are always gonna be playing games more than others, and they should have something to show for it.
It's flawed and bland no matter what angle you look at it from

Even if the level cap is 60, kids can still get there with no skill and work, with a method known as GRINDING, and if the cap was raised, then everyone else would have to grind to get to the top. Adding more grinding wouldn't really make it more fun, just more boring.

"dominance".. im hearing this word too many times, luckly i always have my GW box near by.. let me quote something that basicly smashes the whole "we should be level one hundred billion"... "Prove your worth in a world where skill decides"... read that.. then read it again, maybe someday you will learn "power" is not everything

You treat grinding like its illeagal, so what if you grind to get to the cap?
At least it will take longer and not let the game get boring do fast.
I think you should start pvp at lvl 30, then through pvp you should work your way up, that both realms have to work for it.
Cuz really, you dont have to work in this game to get what you want, at least not in pvp. I mean, they give you preset builds with great skills, so you dont need to play RP. You start at the lvl cap with some of the best weapons and armor. Whats the point to try?
They need to fix it cuz honestly as I play more I notice more flaws

It's too bad that A.net already states this is not a MMO. If you want a REAL MMO go play WoW.
There is something to show that you are better at grinding than everyone else, its called 15k armor.

Grinding is not fun for me, but I don't consider it illegal.

This is straight from the Guild Wars site.
And I don't want to PvP my way up 30 levels either, and I would think that people who enjoy PvE and don't like PvP as much, wouldn't want to PvP for 30 levels and PvE for 30 levels.

I think Anet wants to know how many players are getting bored and why. They need this input to improve the game. Basicly there's no need to even reply if you disagree. Its known how many players like the skill system and the level cab. Its also known that other players would like more challenges after level 20. No need to repeat the skill/level discussion here. The guy is bored within 2 months, thats bad. Anet will read it and the rest is up to them.

I aggree that there need to be something else to do, 1vs 1 duels sounds greats, pve invasion maps (fight off massive amounts of mobs) that will give both sides soem time to whine somemore about how bored they are, as for the level cap 20 is fine i hope it dosen't change i want the game to be about skills, so when i say "I PWNT U NUBLER" it has some meaning because skill was involved, not level. i was bored for a little bit, but i rebuilt a character and now im having fun trying to farm to my hearts content

So you are saying that disagreeing is bad? So if someone posts a suggestion I find useless I shouldn't disagree? If that happened, then every single post in the suggestions area would be good ideas, as no one said that they were bad. Disagreement sharpens your mind, and forces you to come up with why your idea is good.

The point is that, if the level cap is put higher, then in order to be competitive, everyone will have to reach that cap. Once everyone reaches the cap, the situation goes back to where it is now.
The major reason this game has better PvP than WoW, is that your skill and your strategy determine your success, not your level and your equipment. Is it fun going to battle and being 100% sure that your Warlock will lose to anyone with an anti-fear Trinket? Or is it fun going to battle and knowing that you will have to depend on your build and your skill, in order to win?
Sure, some character development is good. But it shouldn't be difficult to develop your character to the point where you can be competitive in PvP or PvE.

Its not supposed to be better. This game is BALANCED! It gives you the superior crap that you are looking for, and if you don't want it...then I will still suggest you find another game...as this game does not appear to be for you.

Geez, if the game is boring, then I see three choices.
1) Keep playing GW, and keep being bored
2) Go find another game to play. Go back to one of the real MMO's so you can be happy.
3) Make the game challenging. Make a character with classes your normally wouldn't use, go through the game with only henches, whatever. Anything that might kill the boredom is worth trying at least once.

Ok. I'm seeing too many posts about this sort of thing, so I'm going to get this out of my system once and for all: This is NOT an MMORPG like WoW, EQ, or FFXI. It was NOT designed to have a grind like those three games were. Apparently not many people looked in to the game before they bought it, or even looked on the box the game came in. I think It's pretty unfair to Anet that all these people did not do this, and because of this they expect Anet to turn this into their perfect game of infinite grind and UbErL337 gankfest. What these people don't realize is that Anet can't satisfy every single customers taste and that this was made to be more of an Anti-MMORPG rather than an MMORPG. Another thing: being the best of an online game is nearly impossible anyway unless you're a 40- year old Korean who has never had a girlfriend.

They already have what you want in the game, it just isn't called "Level", it's called "Experience", and it the more you play, the bigger that number gets.. So why don't you two just felate eachother over your enormous amounts of XP and be done with it?

but you can brag about how you had the gold to show off your 15 k armor
as for the dingaholics i think it is pathetic that you have so little in real life that you have to get a bigger number on your level meter (even if it does nothing) just so you can go i am better than you.
think about it.....you actually have something to be proud of and show off that you are better
this is NOT a mmorpg kiddies and the site states it so go and be superior elsewhere
BIGGER NUMBER IS SIMPLY RAW POWER AND NOT SKILL
IT JUST MEANS I HAVE SO MANY HIT POINTS I CAN BE A CRAP PLAYER AND STILL BEAT A BETTER MORE SKILLED PLAYER
Quote:
Yea but Guild wars is way less popular than wow and Eq. i will have no chance of being the best. Prtobably only top 1000
|
and as for being in the very top 1000 in pvp lets have some action and official rankings to back that up
remember they are no higher level than you are so if you are that good you should have no probllem doing it
PUT UP OR SHUT UP
